Ya Min was born in Myanmar to a family of six. Coming from an ordinary upbringing in Myanmar, Ya Min has always been passionate about improving livelihoods for less fortunate people, especially children. Her work has supported many orphanages, children living with HIV and provided for children who cannot afford to continue their education after high school.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Burmese (B.A. Burmese) at University of Yangon but has always been interested in fashion since young. Ya Min has been a successful model in the fashion industry from 2002 to 2008 and have been featured on magazines and advertisements in Myanmar.
